Turkey provides most liquidity support compared to its GDP over pandemic
(MENAFN)IMF’s Fiscal Monitor stated that amid G20 emerging economies, Turkey gave the most liquidity support compared to its GDP in return to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The spread of the virus caused the worst health disaster ever as massively shaking the global economy.
Global economic activities and trade came to an end, and millions of people lost their jobs since the announcement of the pandemic.
It also deepened the existing problems in low-income countries, as the virus affected the economy of improved countries via the healthcare systems.
Countries closed their borders and announced lockdown restrictions to limit the spread of the virus, and globalization and international supply chains experienced a breakdown.
