    Dubai’s non-oil foreign trade stands at USD96.5B in 2021

    (MENAFN)Dubai’s non-oil foreign trade stood at 354.4 billion dirhams (USD96.5 billion) in the January-March period of 2021 – marking a 10 percent improvement from the previous year same time span.

    According to news agency WAM, Exports increased 25 percent to 50.5 billion dirhams as imports improved by 9 percent to 204.8 billion dirhams.

    According to the emirate’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, “This remarkable performance reflects our external trade sector’s impressive resilience and its ability to rebound and grow in the face of major international crises.”

    He accounted the expansion to the emirate’s advanced infrastructure, good governance, in addition to the “generous stimulus packages” launched to support businesses during the pandemic.
