    Turkish, Polish FMs talk about coronavirus situation

    (MENAFN)Political sources on Wednesday, revealed that in a phone call, the Turkish and Polish foreign ministers talked about the coronavirus pandemic and in particular ending a seven-day quarantine for tourists from Turkey.

    Mevlut Cavusoglu told his Polish counterpart that Turkey is prepared to work together to finish the quarantine requirement, indicating that it is already off the German and French red lists, and is working directly with these nations to ease safe travel.

    The sources, who asked not to be mentioned because of constraints on speaking to the media, revealed that Cavusoglu stated that while these nations do not oblige constraints, the quarantine decision made by Poland, which Ankara has close ties with, was questioned in Turkey.

    For his part, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau stated that he understands Ankara’s worries, and he knows that the inoculation campaign in Turkey is progressing fast, so a solution can be found that will please both countries.
