Iran to manage Khuzestan Province’s water problems
(MENAFN)According to ISNA, Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian declared that good programs are underway for managing Khuzestan Province’s water problems.
Ardakanian further stated that the government paid 50 percent of the total budget allocated for the stated province’s energy sector in this Iranian year to speed up resolving of the issues.
He added that “Hopefully the other 50 percent will be paid soon.”
Harsh drought and high temperature have caused serious water-related issues for the people in southwestern Khuzestan province. The Energy Ministry was confronting problems in supplying drinking water and water for the agriculture sector in the stated province.
