    Turkey's Purchasing Managers' Index increases to 54 in July

    (MENAFN)According to a monthly business survey, Turkey's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector increased to 54 in last month.

    The report by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry set in association with the London-based global data firm IHS Markit showed that the PMI rose by 2.7 points from 51.3 in June.

    The relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions was the main driver behind this improvement that positively affected demand and production.

    The report also declared that revitalization was also witnessed in the food, electrical and electronic products, and chemicals sectors, and clothing and leather products sector remains to lead the increase.
