    Iran, Japan ink memorandum of understanding on customs cooperation

    (MENAFN)According to ILNA, Iran and Japan inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on customs cooperation.

    The MOU inked by the Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Mehdi Mir-Ashrafi and the Japanese Ambassador to Iran Ikawa Kazutoshi in Tehran.

    The MOU that is set based on the model of the World Customs Organization (WCO) deal is going to offer the ground for mutual assistance and collaboration in customs affairs amid Iran and Japan.

    "By signing this document, the exchange and inquiry of customs documents between the two countries will be facilitated and accelerated," Kakhaki added, saying that that this document is the first MOU inked amid the customs of both countries.
