    Saudi Arabia dedicates to invest USD3B in joint fund for investments in Sudan

    (MENAFN)A Saudi pledge to invest USD3 billion in his country could increase to USD10 billion as the country seems to recover from an economic crisis, according to Sudan’s Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok.

    Asharq quoted Hamdok as saying that “In our last visit to Saudi Arabia, we met the crown prince and agreed on an investment of USD3 billion, and it can exceed up to $10 billion.”

    Sudanese minister of Cabinet affairs Khalid Omer Yousif stated that Saudi Arabia dedicated to investing USD3 billion in a joint fund for investments in Sudan, and to prompt other parties to be part of it.

    Sudan secured a recommitment from Saudi Arabia to a USD1.5 billion grant it had first proclaimed in April 2019.
