    Value of Iran's exports to Association of Southeast Asian Nations increases 48 percent

    (MENAFN)According to ILNA, the rate of Iran's exports to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states increased 48 percent in the first five months of this Iranian year in comparison with the previous year same time span.

    Secretary of the ASEAN trade promotion Desk at the Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Mohsen Rezaei-Pour declared that the Islamic Republic’s export to the stated union stood at USD1.076 billion in the mentioned period, five months.

    Thailand was the top export destination for Iranian commodities among the ASEAN member states in the said time span, importing 395,000 tons of goods valued at USD266 million, the official further stated.

    Exports to Thailand increased 88 percent in terms of value in comparison to the previous year same time span, according to the report.

    The official also stated that steel ingots, steel sections, zinc, chicken viscera, bitumen, and Vaseline were the top exported items to Thailand.
