    Iran announces 3B liters storage capacity of strategic fuel

    (MENAFN)According to IRNA, Iran currently has the capacity to cargo space three billion liters of the strategic fuel, having the production capacity of 120 million liters per day of gasoline.

    While the Islamic Republic is currently independent in gasoline production, fluctuations in consumption at different periods through the year drove to the formation of storage facilities in the country to run the sustainable supply and distribution of gasoline.

    These tanks are going to aid the country’s refineries keep running at full capacity if on certain days of the year, gasoline consumption reduces significantly, and also stop any interruption in the supply of the fuel if consumption rises radically.

    The capacity of the country’s gasoline storage facilities improved in recent years, so much so that in keeping with the National Iranian Oil Products Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), the rate of gasoline storage rose from 1.8 billion liters to at least three billion liters.
