    Egypt’s exports in June 2021 stand at USD3.61B

    (MENAFN)Based on official data, Egypt’s exports stood at USD3.61 billion in June 2021, a 49.2 percent drop in comparison to USD2.94 billion last year same time span.

    The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics showed that the country’s trade shortfall dropped by 27.8 percent in June to amount at USD2.49 billion, fell from USD4.07 in June 2020.

    Egypt saw a growth in exports of some goods such as plastic (78 percent), ready-made clothes (54.6 percent), pasta and other food items (53.1 percent), and fresh fruit (13.8 percent).

    The most important of the exported goods were soaps and cleaning products by (7 percent), dairy products (23.7 percent), frozen vegetables (8.6 percent), and perfumes and cosmetics (29.7 percent), as the value of which dropped during June in comparison to the same period previous year.
