Iran: Chabahar Free Zone attracts USD1.27B of investment
(MENAFN)Iranian Chabahar Free Trade-Industrial Zone in the last Iranian year attracted more than 51.34 trillion rials (about USD1.27 billion) of investment, marking 322 percent improvement year on year, according to the deputy managing director of Chabahar Free Zone Organization (CFZO).
IRNA quoted Mohammad Hodaei as saying that in the Iranian year 1398, about 12.68 trillion rials (USD301 million) of investment was made in the stated zone.
Hodaei also referred to the continuous monitoring and support by the CFZO, the change in the viewpoints of the investors, and the existence of major industries such as steel and petrochemicals in the zone as major factors supporting the improvement of the rate of investment in the Chabahar zone.
The official added that “Realized investment index is one of the major indicators that are evaluated in assessing the performance of an economic entity.”
