    Value of Iran’s export to Iraq increases 31 percent in 5 months

    (MENAFN)The spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) declared that the rate of Iran’s export to Iraq increased 31 percent in the first five months of this Iranian year in comparison to the previous year same time span.

    Unfortunately last year several borders were closed for months due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, and like many other countries, trade with this country dropped in 2020, after being the second largest buyer of Iranian goods in recent years.

    He stated that Iran’s export to Iraq stood at more than 12.024 million tons valued at USD3.163 billion in the mentioned period, with a 53-percent improvement in terms of weight.

    Latifi further declared that Iran imported 313,612 tons of goods worth USD175.9 million from Iraq in the first five months of 2021, with a 430-percent improvement in terms of value and a 970-percent rise in terms of weight in comparison to the last year same period.
