    Vehicle manufacturing output in Iran jumps by 2.3 percent

    (MENAFN) Car production in Iran has climbed 2.3 percent in the period from March 21 till December 21 of the present Iranian calendar year, in comparison to the corresponding time frame of the previous year.

    According to the data published by Codal website, Iranian vehicle manufacturers produced 669,320 cars during the mentioned period of 2021, whereas the figure amounted at 653,761 during the same time frame of last year.

    In the mentioned nine months, Iran Khodro Company (IKCO) produced 325,557 vehicles, which was six percent lower than the production in the corresponding time period of the preceding year. The IKCO’s monthly output amounted at 42,894 in the ninth month.

    SAIPA produced 253,584 cars during the said time span. Output by this vehicle maker soared 8.14 percent when compared with last year’s corresponding time frame.
