    Turkish construction industry increases its international schemes budget to USD29.3B

    (MENAFN) Based on the Turkish trade minister statement, the country’s construction sector almost registered a double-fold increase of its international schemes capacity the previous year for a sum of USD29.3 billion.

    Mehmet Mus stated in a program organized by the Turkish Contractors' Association, "the total number of projects undertaken by our country's contractors in 131 countries so far has reached 11,093, and the total value of the projects undertaken has increased to USD451.5 billion."

    The official added, "our contractors have brought an average of $650 million worth of construction service income to our country annually," emphasizing that the services industry is the "apple of the eye" of the country’s economy, with its net overseas trade influx, high employment, as well as fruitful contribution to the export of commodities.
