    Iran’s iron ore pellet output jumps 23 percent

    (MENAFN) According to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) announcement, iron ore pellet output in the country rose by 23 percent in the period from March 21 till December 21 of the present Iranian calendar year, in comparison to the corresponding time span of the previous year.

    IMIDRO stated that over 28.649 million tons of iron ore pellets were produced during the mentioned time frame of the present Iranian calendar year, whereas the figure was 23.285 million during the corresponding time period of last year.

    Also, the iron ore pellet output jumped 17 percent to 3.026 million tons in the ninth month of the currenct year, versus that of last year, which stood at 2.597 million tons.

    As stated, Golgohar was the biggest producer of pellets in the nine-month time span with 9.346 million tons of output, pursued by MIDHCO with 4.434 million tons, and Sangan with 3.268 million tons.
