    Transportation of nearly 8.8m tons of essential commodities in Iran

    (MENAFN) According to Siavash Hosseinpour, the director-general of coordination department of Government Trading Corporation of Iran announcement, over 8.853 million tons of essential goods were shipped to the assigned locations across the nation since the start of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2021).

    As stated, the import of basic commodities is predicted to hit 10 million tons during the present year.

    The previous month, the head of Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) declared that unpacking of essential goods at the nation’s harbor has increased 25 percent in the present Iranian calendar year, in comparison to the year earlier.

    Ali-Akbar Safaei expressed that the biggest amount of import of basic commodities was linked to Imam Khomeini harbor (in southwestern Khuzestan province).
