Turkish economic confidence jumps by 2.7 percent in Jan.

(MENAFN) Based on the most recent figures from Turkey published on Friday, the country’s economic confidence index jumped by 2.7 percent on a monthly basis during this current month.

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), from 98.2 the past December, the index climbed to 100.8 in January. A rating higher than 100 shows a positive outlook for the entire economic condition, whereas a rating under 100 shows a negative outlook.

TurkStat stated that the better reading is because of “increases in consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), services and retail trade confidence indices.”

Nearly all sub-indices registered optimistic outcomes this current month, with the one exemption being the construction confidence index, which plummeted from 90.0 to 85.5.
