    Turkish treasury to settle debts worth USD14.77B

    (MENAFN) According to the Turkish Treasury and Finance Ministry announcement on Monday, the Turkish Treasury is going to settle debts that are valued at 198.66 billion Turkish liras (USD14.77 billion) in the upcoming quarter.

    The Treasury is going to settle 83.2 billion Turkish liras (USD6.18 billion) in foreign debts, involving 25.9 billion Turkish liras (USD1.92 billion) in interest payments.

    Throughout the February-April time span, about 115.5 billion Turkish liras (USD8.59 billion) of national debt repayment is also anticipated, with 53.1 billion Turkish liras (USD3.94 billion) of this sum in interest payments, whereas the rest in principal payment.

    Based on the ministry's borrowing policy, the Treasury is going to borrow 109.5 billion Turkish liras (USD8.14 billion) from local markets during the upcoming three months.
