    External debt of Iran drops by 0.8 percent

    (MENAFN) According to the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) most recent data, the nation’s external debt amounted at USD9.067 billion towards the end of the eighth Iranian calendar month of Aban (November 21, 2021), dropping by 0.8 percent from USD9.142 billion at the end of the past year (March 20, 2021).

    Based on IRIB, as the data showed, from the overall external debt, USD6.619 billion was mid-term and long-term debts whereas USD2.447 billion was short-term debts.

    Iran’s foreign debt amounted at USD9.031 billion towards the end of the sixth Iranian calendar month of Shahrivar (September 22, 2021), dropping by 1.2 percent from USD9.142 billion at the end of last year.
