Saudi Arabia commits to its environmental projects, goals: energy minister
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia will be the prominent nation in implementing green initiatives rather than wait for them to be advanced by a different side, stated Saudi Arabia’s energy minister as he defended the country’s ecological rules.
Abdulaziz bin Salman reported while presenting at the LEAP 2022 conference in Riyadh the nation’s scheme to reach net-zero carbon gases before 2060.
The prince said that a lot of individuals were raising questions regarding Saudi Arabia’s green projects. He mentioned, “The answer is simple, instead of waiting for solutions to come our way we should be there to develop this solution and get the world into it.”
Prince Abdulaziz reported a million oil barrels are currently being recycled instead of thrown away, and he highlighted NEOM great city and other “ambitious giga-projects” as “samples of how engaged we are.”
