    Turkey’s exports reach highest record last month

    (MENAFN) On the words of Trade Minister Mehmet Mus, Turkey’s exports attained a record high for January with a 17 percent yearly increase to USD17.6 billion.

    Mus announced at a news session in Ankara, Imports increased to USD28 billion in January because of the suddenly cold weather and hike of power values.

    Energy imports reached USD9 billion last month, noting that the export-import coverage percentage, amounted to 88.3 percent without energy.

    Mus declared “Our goal is to exceed the USD250 billion export target for 2022 set by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.”
