    Turkey’s real estate sales surge by 25.1 percent in Jan.

    (MENAFN) According to the Turkish statistical authority statement published on Friday, residential real estate sales in the country soared 25.1 percent on a yearly basis in the first month of 2022.

    Based on the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), a sum of 88,306 residential units were sold during the mentioned month.

    Istanbul was the highest stake with 17.1 percent or 15,110 residence sales, then pursued by Ankara with 9.3 percent, or 8,255, and Izmir with 6.2 percent, or 5,486.

    The report emphasized that residential sales to overseas purchasers also surged during the corresponding time span, jumping 56.5 percent to 4,186. 4.7 percent of all residential sales in the stated month was made to non-nationals.
