Turkish BIST stock index ends Friday on high note
(MENAFN) The Turkish benchmark stock index Borsa Istanbul ended with positive figures at the weekly ending, soaring 5.46 percent to 1,952.40 points on Friday amidst wishes of a diplomatic shove to find resolutions to the Russia-Ukraine row.
The BIST 100 index opened the day at 1,883.17 points and it increased by 101.02 points from Thursday’s ending of 1,851.38 points. The major index registered a drop of 3.94 percent this week.
Based on data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, one ounce of gold exchanged for USD1,928.15 by market ending, plummeted from USD1,967.40 at the last ending.
