Saudi main stock index closes Sunday’s session with high figures

(MENAFN) Saudi stocks closed Sunday’s session with high figures, as crude prices fell and profits remained robust, in spite of Russia’s continuing row with Ukraine.

The benchmark stock index, TASI, soared 0.98 percent to 12,418 points. The equivalent market, Nomu, rose 0.04 percent to 24,952 points at the closing bell.

Brent crude hit USD97.93 a barrel, while US major stock index WTI amounted at USD91.59 a barrel. Amara Cooperative Insurance Co. was the top performer, with a 9.95 percent increase.

In spite of leading the gainers during the previous week's closing session, Al-Baha Investment and Development Co. led the losers this day, plummeting 5 percent.
