    Turkey’s consumer confidence registers increase this month

    (MENAFN) Based on the latest figures announced by Turkey on Wednesday, the country’s consumer confidence registered a rise during this month.

    According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), from 71.2 in February, the consumer confidence index soared to 72.5 in March.

    The index is a significant measure of the entire economy, representing individual’s sentiments on financial situation along with the overall economic situation, as well as expenses and saving tendencies.

    Amongst all sub-indices, the financial state of household at the current time period was the only to record a fall, dropping by 1.5 percent to 54.4. The index for assessment on money expenses on durable goods over the upcoming 12 months soared by 4.4 percent to 93.3.
