    Turkey records net revenue of USD2.8B last month

    (MENAFN) According to the Turkish banking regulator announcement on Tuesday, the country’s banks recorded a net revenue of 39 billion Turkish liras (USD2.8 billion) last month.

    Based on the latest data from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA), total assets of Turkey’s banking sector reached 9.5 trillion Turkish liras (USD687.4 billion) the previous month, increased by 55 percent from the month that precedes it.

    Loans, the biggest sub-category of assets, stood at nearly 5.2 trillion Turkish liras (USD375 billion) with a 44 percent annual increase.

    Regarding liabilities part, deposits held at lenders in the country which is the biggest liabilities item, amounted at more than 5.5 trillion Turkish liras (USD402 billion), increasing 60 percent from the previous year.
