    Tehran: Housing costs go up 16 percent

    (MENAFN) In line with the CBI information, the average cost for one square meter of a housing unit in Tehran reached 351.2 million rials (about USD1,377) in December 2021, rising 6.2 from November, and 16 percent from December 2020.

    According to the same source, the figure of real estate deals reached 6,800 in the capital city in December 2021, declining 19.9 percent from November, while rising 29.6 percent, from December 2020.

    In April last year, the ruler of Iran’s Property Advisers Union stated that housing costs in Tehran should decline more than 25 percent, so that people can have enough money to buy.
