American firms eye Turkey as local investment hub
(MENAFN) According to US Embassy in Ankara spokesperson Julie Eadeh statement released on Wednesday, American firms eye Turkey as a local hub.
Eadeh stated amidst the US' viewpoint on advancing Turkish-American trade and economic relations, the reserve of US foreign direct investment in the country hit USD5.8 billion two years ago, whereas US-owned associates provided jobs for almost 60,000 individuals in 2019.
Emphasizing that the US and Turkey have a robust and increasing economic connection, Eadeh stated that the overall merchandise between both nations hit USD28 billion in 2021, a 32 percent surge from the preceding year.
She stated, "Turkish goods find an increasingly attractive market in the United States. The United States was the number 2 market for Turkish exports in 2021. In fact, 2021 saw an almost 45 percent increase in Turkish exports to the US to USD16 billion."
