Turkish main stock index starts Friday looking up
(MENAFN) The Turkish major stock index started the final trading day of the week; Friday at 2,361.15 points, increasing 15.95 points, or 0.68 percent, from the last ending.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index soared 1.24 percent to end at 2,345.20 points, reaching a record high ending, with an everyday exchanging volume of 39.7 billion Turkish liras (USD2.7 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira trade rate amounted at 14.7474 on 10 a.m. regional time (0700GMT), from 14.7430 at Thursday’s ending.
The euro/lira trade rate tumbled to 16.0170 from 16.0680, whereas a British pound exchanged for 19.2364 liras, dropping from 19.3070 at the last ending.
