    Iran’s imports of essential commodities reach 30.9m tons

    (MENAFN) According to an official with the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) statement to ISNA, Iran imported 30.9 million tons of essential commodities during the last Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20).

    Based on Foroud Asgari, the deputy head of IRICA for customs affairs statement, the imported commodities were in 25 goods units.

    The official stated setting the cost of the imported basic goods at USD19.6 billion during the previous year, that the imports demonstrate a 60-percent increase in value and 32-percent rise in weight, in comparison to the Iranian calendar year 1399.
