Turkey’s main share index decreases at Fri. end
(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index Borsa Istanbul on Friday dropped 0.31 percent to end at 2,458.72 points.
After opening Friday at 2,453.69 points, the BIST 100 index dropped 7.54 points from Thursday's end of 2,466.26 points.
Throughout the day’s exchange, the index floated in the middle of 2,433.32 and 2,470.61 points – 49 shares on the index increased, and 47 dropped, versus the prior end.
It ended Friday with a market assessment of almost 2 trillion Turkish liras (USD133.7 billion) and a day-to-day exchange volume of 39.5 billion Turkish liras (USD2.6 billion).
Stocks of national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, glass maker Sise, in addition to oil refiner Tupras recorded the peak exchange volumes.
Formation technologies company Indeks Bilgisayar recorded the highest increase, with its stocks increasing 6.97 percent, whereas energy firm Odas fall off the most, declining 5.26 percent.
Each ounce of gold exchanged for USD1,909.00 by market end, down from USD1,920.95, in line with information from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The value of Brent crude oil gained 2.19 percent to USD113.37 for each barrel as of 6.12 PM regional time (1512GMT).
