    Turkey’s industrial production increases 9.6 percent in March

    (MENAFN) On Friday, the nation’s statistical authority stated in a report that Turkey’s calendar-attuned industrial output increased 9.6 percent in March in comparison to 2021.

    in line with TurkStat statistics all sub-indices increased in March, with manufacturing recording the highest yearly increase of 10.6 percent.

    The mining and quarrying index rose by 2.9 percent, while the electricity, gas, steam as well as air conditioning supply index surged 1.9 percent.

    On a monthly basis, industrial production dropped 1.8 percent from February.

    TurkStat stated that “When the subsectors of the industry were examined, while mining and quarrying index decreased by 4.9% and manufacturing index decreased by 2.2%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index increased by 4.8% in March 2022, compared with the previous month.”
