Qatar’s (CPI) sees slight increase 0.29 percent in April
(MENAFN) Qatar’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) saw a slight rise of 0.29 percent last month against March, standing at 101.77 points.
As shown by data released by Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) when contrast on yearly basis, the consumer prices in Qatar (as per the general CPI index) last month have also rose by 4.66 percent against the CPI of April last year, data released by Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) show.
A monthly evolution of the CPI for last month contrast with CPI of the previous month, presented that there were five major groups, where individual indices in this month have rose, that is to say: “Miscellaneous Goods and Services” by 1.66 percent, “Restaurants and Hotels” by 1.57 percent, “Clothing and Footwear” by 1.28 percent, “Furniture and Household Equipment” by 1.21 percent, as well as “Housing, Water, Electricity in addition to other Fuel” by 0.94 percent.
A decline has been registered on “Communication” by 1.04 percent, “Food and Beverages” by 0.83 percent, “Transport” by 0.45 percent, “Recreation and Culture” by 0.19 percent, as well as “Health” by 0.05 percent.
