    TEDPIX drops 11,000 points on Saturday

    (MENAFN) On Saturday, TEDPIX, the benchmark index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), decreased 11,110 points to 1.553 million.

    As mentioned in reports, more than 14.93 million securities valued at 88.375 trillion rials (nearly USD341 million) were exchanged at the TSE.

    The first market’s index dropped 10,080 points, and the second market’s index decreased 16,358 points.

    As declared by Market Analyst Ahmad Eshtiaqi, the national budget bill for the present Iranian calendar year shows that the administration has an additional optimistic outlook of the market for this year.

    He believes that the Iranian share exchange market can expand by 30 percent by the end of the present Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2023).

    In a meeting with IRNA on May 8, Eshtiaqi mentioned to the instabilities of the stock market index and the aspects disturbing it and stated that “It seems that the shares of companies still have room for growth and according to the forecasts, the stock market can grow by about 30 percent by the end of the year, but this growth will be gradual and slow.”
