    Turkey’s day-to-day energy intake drops 0.92 percent on Friday

    (MENAFN) Day-to-day electricity intake in Turkey decline by 0.92 percent on Friday in contrast to the day before, amounting to 920,597 megawatt-hours, in line with official numbers of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

    Figures from TEIAS presented that hourly power intake reached its highest at 44,048 megawatt-hours at 12:00 regional time (0900 GMT), while the nation's electricity usage fell to the worst level of 30,420 megawatt-hours at 07:00 regional time (0400 GMT).

    Electricity output totaled to 911,974 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a fall of 1.1 percent against Wednesday.

    Electricity output from natural gas plants established 21.2 percent of whole generation, while hydro power and wind energy contributed 17.3 percent and 17.1 percent, individually.

    On Friday, the nation's electricity exports totaled to 9,921 megawatt-hours and imports amounted to 18,544 megawatt-hours.
