    Oman’s LNG production increases to peak of 10.6 million tons last year

    (MENAFN) On Sunday, the Oman News Agency mentioned in a report that Oman’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) output increased 4 percent to a reach a peak of 10.6 million tons last year and is anticipated to amount to 11 million tons annually after the completion of plans to raise production.

    The report mentioned that the LNG area supplied the sultanate's administration with income of around USD2.87 billion throughout the last year.

    LNG output is anticipated to increase as state-backed Oman LNG earlier showed strategies to grow volume to 11.4 million tons annually this year by decreasing blockages at its liquefaction plant in Qalhat, south of the capital, Muscat.

    ONA stated that “During 2021, the Oman LNG Company continued its progress in implementing several strategic projects that are nearing completion to enhance productivity, such as the plant renewal project … and the modern energy project that uses gas engine technology to raise efficiency.”
