    Turkey’s industrial production surges 10.8 percent in April

    (MENAFN) On Monday, Turkey’s statistical authority declared that the nation’s calendar-adjusted industrial output climbed 10.8 percent two months ago in contrast with the same month 2021.

    Mining and quarrying, and manufacturing indices recorded rises in the stated month, whereas the electricity, gas, steam, as well as air conditioning supply index dropped, as shown by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).

    The mining and quarrying index surged 7.4 percent, and production index soared 11.9 percent yearly in April.

    The electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index fell 0.4 percent during the same month.

    On a monthly basis, the industrial production was steady.

    TurkStat stated that "When the subsectors of the industry were examined, while mining and quarrying index increased by 3.4 percent and manufacturing index increased by 0.1 percent, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index decreased by 3.3 percent in April 2022, compared with previous month."
