    residential properties sales in Turkey increase 107.5 percent annually in May

    (MENAFN) In line with the most recent data issued on Wednesday, house sales in Turkey jumped 107.5 percent annually last month.

    The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) stated that a sum of 122,768 houses were exchanged in May.

    Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city in terms of population, had the largest part with 22,148 units, indicating an 18 percent rise.

    It was trailed by Ankara with 11,497 residential properties sales as well as Izmir with 7,159 sales.

    Deals to non-citizen purchasers surged by 235.7 percent to 5,962 units in May.

    Between non-citizen nationals, Russians purchased the highest amount of houses, 1,275, trailed by Iranians with 736 purchases as well as Iraqis 617.

    For the meantime, on a monthly basis, house trades decreased 7.73 percent last month.
