    Turkish share market closes week on green territory

    (MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index Borsa Istanbul ended at 2,533.33 points on Friday, with a day-to-day increase of 1.93 percent.

    Opening the day at 2,493.55 points, the index rose 47.97 points from Thursday's end of 2,485.36.

    The index's worst value throughout Friday stood at 2,485.82 points, whereas its peak reached 2,533.33.

    Its whole market amount was over 2 trillion Turkish liras (USD120 billion) by market end, with a day-to-day exchange volume of more than 35.6 billion Turkish liras (USD2 billion).

    Throughout the last transaction day of the week, 78 shares on the index increased, 21 dropped, and one stayed level against Thursday's end.

    One ounce of gold exchanged for USD1,852.20 by market end, rising from USD1,827 at the prior end, in line with data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

    The rate of Brent crude oil dropped 5.1 percent to USD113.71 a barrel as of 6.28 PM regional time (1528GMT).
