    Turkey’s day-to-day energy intake drops 3.4 percent on Saturday

    (MENAFN) Day-to-day electricity intake in Turkey declined by 3.39 percent on Saturday in comparison to the prior day, amounting to 880,941 megawatt-hours, in line with official numbers of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.

    As shown by data from TEIAS hourly power intake reached its highest at 41,090 megawatt-hours at 15.00 regional time (1200 GMT).

    The nation’s electricity usage fell to the worst rate of 29,732 megawatt-hours at 07.00 regional time (0400 GMT).

    Electricity output totaled 873,303 megawatt-hours on Saturday, indicating a drop of 3.38 percent in comparison to Friday.

    Electricity output from natural gas plants contributed 18 percent of whole generation, whereas imported coal plants and wind energy plants constituted 16.5 percent and 15.6 percent, individually.

    On Saturday, the nation's electricity exports totaled 9,298 megawatt-hours and imports amounted to 16,936 megawatt-hours.
