Turkish Airlines cancel trips from-to Brussels due to strike of airline employees

(MENAFN) Monday's trips by Turkish Airlines back and forth from the Belgian capital Brussels have been stopped because of a nationwide strike of airline employees, the national flag carrier declared.

In an announcement, the airline's press office highlighted that no security employees would be positioned at the airport because of the strike, stimulating a full-day Notice to Airmen or Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM).

It stated that the trips TK1942 from Brussels to Istanbul and TK1939 - TK1940 Istanbul-Brussels round trips were stopped, also stating that a flight could be rearranged later in the evening.

At the same time, a homecoming flight from London to Istanbul was also stopped corresponding to a verdict by Heathrow Airport and UK civil aviation because of deficient capacity.

It also stated that the plane is going to come back to Istanbul without travelers with only shipment aboard.
