    Turkey’s day-to-day electricity intake declines 1.2pct on Friday

    (MENAFN) As shown by official numbers of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday day-to-day electricity intake in Turkey dropped by 1.2 percent on Friday against the prior day, amounting to 943,093 megawatt-hours.

    According to TEIAS figures hourly power intake reached its highest at 45,417 megawatt-hours at 12.00 PM regional time (0900 GMT).

    The nation's electricity usage declined to the worst rate of 31,499 megawatt-hours at 07.00 AM regional time (0400 GMT).

    Electricity output totaled 933,772 megawatt-hours on Friday, indicating a drop of 1.3 percent against Thursday.

    Electricity output from natural gas energy plants contributed 22.3 percent of entire generation, whereas imported coal plants and hydro power plants constituted 19.6 percent and 16.1 percent, individually.

    On Friday, the nation's electricity exports reached 8,788 megawatt-hours and imports amounted to 18,110 megawatt-hours.
