Qatar, Sri Lanka minsters hold meeting for gas supplies

(MENAFN) Sri Lanka has called on Qatar for gas provisions as its energy condition stays negative after a foreign trading catastrophe.

Sri Lankan Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera on Tuesday held a meeting with Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad Bin Sherida Al Kaabi for the provision of gas outputs, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as well as liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Wijesekera in another meeting with the Qatar Fund for Development talked about a possible credit service for energy acquisitions.

The Sri Lankan minister’s Qatar official visit is part of the nation’s works to secure fresh fuel supplies and foreign exchange for purchasing necessary goods such like food plus medicines.

Wijesekera previously stated that the Sri Lankan administration would permit firms from oil-producing nations to go in the local market.
