IME grows 21pct in value of exchange month-on-month
(MENAFN) Throughout the last Iranian calendar month Khordad (ended on June 21), the third month of Iranian calendar year, 10,826,000 million tons of commodities valued at over USD3 billion were exchanged at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), presentation 21 percent and 36 percent expansion in value and weight, individually, in comparison to the second month.
As mentioned by the IME’s Public Relations and International Affairs Department report, the exchange witnessed on both national and external pits of its oil and petrochemical exchanging floor, exchange of 1.558 million tons of commodities worth at least USD1.1 billion.
The IME's customers bought on this floor 300,800 tons of vacuum bottom, 400,622 tons of bitumen, 444,102 tons of polymeric products, 206,000 tons of lube cut, 155,855 tons of chemicals, 25,165 tons of sulfur, 24,198 tons of oil, 500 tons of argon as well as 800 tons of insulation.
In addition, the exchange witnessed exchange of over 9.181 million tons of commodities valued at almost USD2 billion on its metals and minerals exchanging floor.
