shipment from Bushehr province doubles in Q1 annually
(MENAFN) A provincial official declared that the export from Bushehr province, in the southwest of Iran, worth rose by 100 percent in the first 3 months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-June 21), in comparison with the same period of time in the last year.
Ali Soleymani, the director-general of the customs sector of Busher city (center of the province), stated that more than 7.4 million tons of outputs valued at more than USD4 billion were shipped from Bushehr province in the mentioned quarter period, signifying 20 percent expansion in terms of mass as well.
He mentioned the main shipped goods such as petrochemical products, minerals, fisheries as well as vegetables, which have been shipped to China, United Arab Emirates, India, South Africa, Nigeria, Sudan, Mozambique, Turkey, Ivory Coast in addition to Pakistan.
The official also declared that 161,000 tons of commodities valued at more than USD790 million were delivered to the region in the first 3 months of the current year, presenting 201 percent rise in terms of worth, and 40 percent increase in terms of mass, in contrast with the first 3 months of the prior year.
