    Turkey’s day-to-day electricity intake increases 3pct on Tuesday

    (MENAFN) Day-to-day electricity intake in Turkey witnessed a rise of 3.06 percent on Tuesday in comparison to the previous day (Monday), amounting to 973,987 megawatt-hours, according to what was shown by official data of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

    Data from TEIAS presented that hourly power intake reached its daily highest at 46,638 megawatt-hours as of 3.00 PM regional time (1200 GMT).

    The nation's electricity usage saw a drop to reach its worst level of 31,866 megawatt-hours as of 07.00 AM regional time (0400 GMT).

    Electricity output reached an amount of 965,964 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a surge of 3.17 percent in comparison to the previous day (Monday).

    Electricity output from natural gas power plants contributed 21.2 percent of the whole generation, whereas imported coal plants and wind constituted in 18.3 percent and 15.2 percent, each in that order.

    On Tuesday, the nation’s electricity exports totaled 5,443 megawatt-hours and imports amounted to 13,466 megawatt-hours.
