Iran’s electricity intake reaches 67,700 megawatts on Tuesday
(MENAFN) Electricity intake in Iran recorded an extraordinary record-breaking amount of 67,700 megawatts on Tuesday.
The day-to-day intake stood at 700 megawatts more than that of the same day in the last year, and 300 megawatts more than the prior record.
Throughout the last decade, continuous temperature increasing and the important decline in drizzles through Iran have put the nation in a hard situation concerning electricity provision through highest intake days.
In the last two years, on the other hand, additional failing aspects such as severe drought as well as the decrease in the nation’s water resources in addition to a new wave of illegal cryptocurrency mining through the nation have also degraded the condition.
Between such aspects, outdated equipment used in industry and agriculture areas are a main provider to the high electricity intake in the nation.
These two areas have become main consumers of electricity in the nation because of their outdated equipment.
