Saudi Arabia between top preforming venture capital markets in 2022
(MENAFN) According to a top venture capital player Saudi Arabia has been one of the highest-performing markets in the venture capital space in the Middle East and North Africa.
As stated by Mohammed Al-Zubi, the founder of Saudi venture capital company Nama Ventures, the Kingdom’s spot can be credited to four major aspects.
The first aspect was the unmatched backing by the government in easing funding agendas in the nation.
The second was the rise of awareness of family offices as well as organizations of VC as an asset class.
Following was a growing interest between global financiers to finance in Saudi startups and the opportunity they display.
Al-Zubi stated that “Lastly, Saudi entrepreneurs had reached a high level of knowledge and sophistication.”
Nama Projects has been a lively financier in startups internationally and is presently concentrating on tech-based early-stage projects.
In line with the industry research company MAGNiTT, additionally, the Kingdom witnessed a record 76 investors participating in agreements ended in regional startups, with 25 percent from investors outside the Middle East and North Africa district in 2021.
