IME witnesses USD459M value of commodities trade in 1 week
(MENAFN) Throughout the last Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday), 2,133,115 million tons of commodities valued at USD459 million were exchanged at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME).
As mentioned in a report by the IME’s Public Relations and International Affairs Department, the exchange traded on its metals as well as minerals exchange floor 1.768 million tons of commodities worth nearly USD246 million.
On this floor the IME traded 120 tons of molybdenum, 5,423 tons of copper, 41,000 tons of sponge iron, 2,540 tons of zinc, 8,775 tons of aluminum, 187,747 tons of steel, 1.026 million tons of cement concentrate as well as 19 kg of gold bars.
Additionally, the IME saw on both local and export rings of its oil and petrochemical exchange floor 225,317 tons of commodities valued at around USD205 million.
Commodities sold on this floor contained 75,254 tons of polymeric outputs, 139,600 tons of vacuum bottom, 200 tons of insulation, 31,188 tons of chemicals, 2,816 tons of base oil, 1,160 tons of sulfur, 52,686 tons of bitumen in addition to 46,000 tons of lube cut.
The IME also exchanged within the same week 13,154 tons of commodities on its sub market.
