    Iran, EU export rate surges 39pct in first 5 months of 2022

    (MENAFN) The worth of Iran’s export to the European Union (EU)’s member states increased 39 percent in the first five months of 2022, as compared to the first five months of 2021, according to the data released by the European Union's statistics office Eurostat.

    According to an IRNA report the Eurostat’s statistics present that Iran has shipped commodities valued at USD465 million to the union in the five-month span of time of 2022, whereas the number stood at USD333 million in the same period of 2021.

    The EU’s export to Iran has also surged six percent to USD1.61 billion from USD1.512 billion.

    In line with the Eurostat, the worth of exchange among Iran and the European Union stood at USD2.075 billion in the stated 5 months of 2022, whereas the number was USD1.845 billion in the same span of time in the last year.

    Between the EU member states, Germany was Iran’s highest exchange partner in the stated five months, exchanging an amount of 37 percent of Iran’s entire trade with the union.

    As earlier reported by the Eurostat, the value of exchange among Iran and the European Union stood at USD4.863 billion in the last year, recording a nine percent increase against the last year.

    The exchange among Iran and the European Union throughout 2020 reached USD4.458 billion.
